Attention
Seniors: Scholarship lists start every December. See
Mrs. Greenberg to get a complete list. The list will be updated on a monthly
basis.
Seniors are allowed to take two college days. An appointment
with the college must be made in advance. Students need to pick up a college
day form from Mrs. Greenberg prior to their college day. A parent needs to call
the office that day and the college day form must be completed and returned the
next school day. NO EXCEPTIONS!!
Standardized
Testing Schedule by Grade Year:
9th grade- EXPLORE
This is a Pre-ACT test that will be given to
all freshmen usually in October. It will give an estimated PLAN score.
10th Grade- PLAN
This is a PRE-ACT test that will be given to
all sophomores usually in October. It will give an estimated ACT score.
11th Grade- PSAE
This is a 2 day test that the State of
Illinois requires all juniors to take. The ACT is given free of charge the first
day and the WorkKeys is given the second day. This test is usually given in
late April.
11th & 12th
Grade-ACT
This test is a college entrance requirement
for most colleges. National test dates are on various Saturdays throughout the school
year. Test dates, deadlines and registration are available online at ACT or a
form is available in the counselors’ office.
