Dr. Foutch commended the Maintenance staff for their work this summer in preparing our facility for the upcoming year. They truly went “above and beyond” as they were asked to complete multiple projects this summer on top of their normal summer maintenance work. The entire staff did a great job in preparing everything (both inside and outside) and completing the cleaning, waxing, painting, preparing, moving tables and chairs, and many other time intensive tasks too numerous to mention. We were also a little understaffed due to Wayne Dieters being out after surgery. Clay Sczceblewski, Pelle Fuehne, Greg Meyer, and Aiden Diesen, along with our student worker, Robert Hofer, deserve to be commended for their efforts. We are extremely lucky to have these people helping to make our school a better place for kids.

Our in-person and online registration processes (held during the last week of July) worked very well in getting schedules out and completing schedule changes for students. As of today, we have 167 freshmen and 22 transfer/new students to the district.

Thank you to Jamie Hewlett for taking the time to work the Welcome Desk at our registration. This worked out extremely well as she was able to explain to parents all of the details in regards to the required health paperwork to start school.

As always, this summer has been very busy for our tech staff. Along with their normal duties, they had to complete a large amount of work (in a very short amount of time) due to the delayed completion date of our remodeled computer labs. Anthony Rancilio and his team – Max Niemeyer and Josiah Boyer - have done an excellent job preparing for the new school year, and we are so grateful for the work they have done.

We would also like to send out a HUGE thank you to Jill Varel. To save costs with our projects, we made the decision to order all of the new classroom furniture ourselves (instead of including the purchases as part of the project.) This resulted in the need to coordinate new desks, chairs, white boards, bulletin boards, book shelves, etc. in multiple classrooms. On top of all this, she also had to organize the purchase of materials and supplies for our entire school, and help plan and coordinate the RSVP’s for the Hall of Fame dinner. Oh, she also created all the programs for the Hall of Fame. Jill is simply the best. She does her job in such a positive and professional way, and Central is blessed to have her.

A motion to approve the final pay application from KRB Excavating for $81,360 for the construction of the new parking lot was made by Tim, second by Tanya. Roll call vote: Aye – Mary Lou Voss, Tim Richter, Kori Voss, Julie Koerkenmeier, Tanya Kampwerth, Laura Jansen, Brandon Hogg. Nay – None

The Preliminary FY26 Budget was presented by Becky Boeschen and Dr. Foutch.

A special meeting was set to develop new district goals.

A motion to employ Hemo Castillo as the Boys Soccer coach pending all necessary requirements are met was made by Brandon, second by Kori. Roll call vote: Aye – Mary Lou Voss, Tim Richter, Kori Voss, Julie Koerkenmeier, Tanya Kampwerth, Laura Jansen, Brandon Hogg. Nay – None
