Thank you to all of the teachers for creating a warm welcoming feeling to the conferences, and to Ms. Lohman and Mrs. Jones for providing our junior and senior parents with all the information they need for success.

Teacher In-Service on October 24, 2025 - all of the grade school teachers and administrators came together at Central to hear from legendary educational leader Dr. Todd Whitaker. One of the nation’s leading authorities on teacher and principal effectiveness, staff morale, teacher leadership, and school culture and climate. Todd has written over 65 books including the national best seller, What Great Teachers Do Differently. Other titles include What Great Principals Do Differently, Shifting the Monkey, School Culture Rewired, Your First Year, Dealing With Difficult Parents, Motivating & Inspiring Teachers, and How To Get All Teachers To Become Like The Best Teachers.

Lastly, the Class of 2026 continues to shine and set records!!! This class had 41 students recognized earlier this year by the college board for their academic performance, and now they have 27 students that have been named Illinois State Scholars!!
Central High School is proud to recognize the 27 Illinois State Scholars from the Class of 2026. This honor is awarded to students who rank in the top 10% academically in the state of Illinois at the end of their junior year, based on their unweighted GPA and ACT scores.
Any student who earns a 30 or higher on the ACT automatically qualifies as an Illinois State Scholar. This year, 15 Central seniors achieved this distinction based solely on their ACT scores.
The Class of 2026 has also made school history by setting a new Central High School record for the largest number of Illinois State Scholars by narrowly surpassing the previous record of 26 scholars from the Class of 2023.
Congratulations to: Dalton Baker, Isaiah Becker, Nathan Behrman, Mabry Benhof , Peyton Benhof , Hannah Callahan, Lauren Daugherty, Cole Davis, Hunter Farrington, Kaelyn Gebke, Allison Hattan, Grace Henrichs, Aidan Huegen, Clayton Jansen, Greta Jansen, Jay Klemish, Danica Krebs, Zoey Kuhl, Lydia Kuhn, Sophie Markus, Aubrey Rakers, Kara Schomaker, Adelyn Schroeder, Tessa Schroeder, Carter Spihlmann, Mabree Strubhart, and Karsyn Voss.
