Congratulations to the varsity volleyball team on their win last Thursday against East Alton/Wood River. Your Cougars finished the regular season 29 & 6. Kaydence Schroeder led the team with 6 kills, 11 digs, and 3 aces. Hannah Kampwerth and Alayna Santel tallied 5 kills and 3 blocks each...Austyn Jansen tallied 4 kills and 8 digs....Avery Budde had 12 assists and an ace, Riley Gebke had 7 digs, 4 blocks, one ace, and 2 kills for the team, Emma Ratermann had 9 assists and 2 digs, Emma Taylor had 4 blocks and a kill, Reagan Oster contributed 6 digs and Riley Koehler had 4 digs. The JV and freshman teams also won their matches. The Varsity Cougars will start post-season play tomorrow at 5:30 in Newton, Illinois against the winner of the Marshall/Teutopolis match. Go Cougars!

The cross country team competed in the Benton Sectional on Saturday. For the boys Noah Hunt advanced as an individual to the Wesclin sectional. Other top finishers were Noah Markus and William Bretz. The girls’ team placed 7th and advanced to the Wesclin sectional. Top finishers for the girls were Haley Huelsmann, Elizabeth Schroeder and Lucia Knapp.

There will be a meeting for all boys intending to play basketball this season today in the East Gym during advisory period. Players should bring their chromebooks

Any senior who would like to meet with an Admissions rep from the following university needs to sign up on the google sheet in Miss Lohman's Class of 2022 google classroom.

Jostens Cap and Gown presentation will be held during advisory on Tuesday, October 26th for all seniors. Jostens will return during lunch hours on Tuesday, Nov 2nd to collect your orders.


It's that time of year again. The Media Center is hosting its annual Build-A-Pumpkin Contest. To enter, decorate a pumpkin based on a book or book character and bring your decorated pumpkin to the library on Thursday, October 28th. See Mrs. Hogg for more details.

The 2021 yearbooks are in. Please stop by the Superintendent's office to pick yours up.

Red Bud High school will be hosting their annual College & Career Night on Monday November 1, 2021 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. Vocational/Trades Training Sessions will be held at 6 & 7pm to help learn about the training needed. College Planning Presentations will also be held at 6 & 7pm to go over Search & Admission Information. VFW Voice of Democracy-the national VFW program provides high school students with the unique opportunity to express themselves in regards to a democratic and patriotic-themed recorded essay. Each year, more than 57,000 9-12 grade students from across the country enter to win their share of more than $2 million in educational scholarships and incentives awarded through the program. The national first-place winner receives a $30,000 scholarship paid directly to the recipient’s American university, college, or vocational/technical school. A complete list of other national scholarships range from $1,000-$16,000, and the first-place winner from each VFW Department (state) wins a minimum scholarship of $1,000 and an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. 3-5 minute audio essay.
