ME DAYS have been posted in the locker areas
- Students: On April 10th, Central Community High School will be hosting it's 4th Annual Cougar Academy Program. The afternoon that day will consist of activities designed to discuss and prepare 8th graders for some of the choices and decisions they may be faced with in high school, and to help them begin establishing connections with 8th graders from other schools as well as some of our high school students. For this program, we will need approximately 60 high school students to serve as group leaders. We are looking for a great mix of freshmen through senior students who are interested in serving as positive role models to our 8th graders, leading activities with the 8th graders, and overall, helping them to get excited about coming to high school! Group leader applications are available in your grade level google classrooms as well as in the main office. They are due back to the main office by February 27th. Please see or e-mail Mrs. Koerkenmeier if you have any questions.
We are excited to announce the launch of a Student-led Bible Study Group. This is a great opportunity to grow in your faith, connect with others, and explore the Word of God together. The Bible Study will meet every Wednesday for the rest of the school year. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re curious about the Bible or already passionate about your faith. Come join us next Wednesday—we can’t wait to see you there! If you have any questions, please reach out to Josiah Boyer.
Poettker Construction will be providing a presentation during Advisory on Friday, March 21sth. During the presentation, their recruiting team will discuss the options they have available in the skilled trades. Poettker is looking to hire current seniors, help them get into one of the skilled trades unions, and give them an opportunity to work for a local, growing, and outstanding company.
If you have any interest in all in the skilled trades, we highly encourage you to come to the cafeteria during advisory on Friday, March 21st
There's a sign up sheet in the main office, please sign up by this Wednesday.
Our Cougar Closet has Prom attire available! We have LOTS of beautiful dresses, many of which were donated by Girls Night Out and still have the tags on them! We also have men’s pants, shirts, and ties. A donation to Coping 4 Life for any of these items is appreciated, but not required. Please e-mail Mrs. Benhoff, Mrs. Kuhn, Mrs. Walker, or Mrs. Koerkenmeier to schedule a time to shop! These designer dresses need a home, so bring a friend and come take a look!
Also, Lebanon High School is hosting a Prom Attire Shopping Event that is open to the public this Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Check out the flyer in your grade level Google Classroom for more information. These are 2 awesome opportunities to find your perfect prom look!
Central will again be hosting a Prom Pampering event this year. KC Cosmetology is offering hair, makeup and/or nail services the Saturday morning of prom, free of charge here at Central. Come hang out, snack, and bring some friends for a morning full of fun! If interested, please email Mrs. Benhoff. There will be a limited number of spots, so please e-mail early.
Any freshman or sophomore who signed up for Algebra II, Honors American History or Sociology next year needs to make sure they check their email. Miss Lohman sent an email last week with directions and dates on the dual credit testing process.
KC will be here on March 24th to register seniors for classes next year. If you plan on attending KC next year this is a great opportunity. The appointment sign up sheet is in Miss Lohman's office. Appointment times are first come first serve until full.
There will be an FCA Meeting TOMM in the East Gym during Advisory.
Cougar Closet is Central’s clothing and supply store. It is open to all students and has a great
assortment of new and gently used clothing, as well as school supplies and hygiene products. Because everything has been donated, all items are FREE for our students.
